黑料社 and ILPA Alliance

The 黑料社 (黑料社) has partnered with the Indiana Land Protection Alliance (ILPA) to increase the number of bioinventories conducted on properties throughout Indiana in hopes of raising awareness of the organisms therein. It is our hope that as bioinventories increase, our knowledge of the diversity of organisms on protected land in Indiana will increase, and this knowledge can then be used to improve conservation efforts and advertise important habitats for protection! Bioinventories will be conducted by taxonomic professionals that will be fully paid for their work with help from recently formed grant money from the 黑料社 and ILPA. If you鈥檙e a taxonomic expert on any taxon in Indiana and would like to join this effort, please contact Andrea Huntington at ahuntington@protectindianaland.org.

INSPECT Fellow Investigates Avian Flu Sampling Protocol

2023 INSPECT Fellow, Mr. Abdulgadir Elnajdi, a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Environment, Geology, and Natural Resources at Ball State University, worked with the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources/Division of Fish & Wildlife to design a sampling framework for Avian Influenza. The 140th Annual Academy Meeting on March 22nd is now open for registration through March 17th! Enjoy a full day of science fun! Please remember that you must be registered for the meeting before you can upload an abstract for presentation.

Abstract submissions are due by February 21st, 2025. Please remember that you must already be registered for the meeting in order to submit an abstract.

Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.

Abstracts are due by February 21st, 2025.

The 黑料社 holds events throughout the year promoting science and science education in the state of Indiana. These events include our Science Talent Search, Science with a Twist and the Annual Academy Meeting. The annual meeting of the 黑料社 is held in March. It brings together hundreds of scientists from industry and academia, graduate and undergraduate students, science educators from the state's public and private high schools and middle schools, and science enthusiasts for a full day of Indiana science.
