The Personal Collection
The main part of the exhibit at the "Museum Don Quixote" is the personal collection of Albert and Shirleen Askenazi, of items with the icons and images of "Don Quixote". The Askenazi's have being collecting all of this pieces of art for the last 38 years, on their travels all over the world, and today, they have more than 700 different nice and gorgeous items, among them
- over 200 figurines made with all kinds of materials,
- 130 beautiful paintings, lithography's, and art works,
- more than 120 unique collector items of Don Quixote,
- over 130 Books of "Don Quixote" written in 63 different languages, some in Spanish, Castillian, English, Hebrew, French, Russian, Polish, Italian, Estonian, German, etc.
- We have the ONLY edition in the world of this book
in BRAILLE, a book for the blind.
The care, love and dedication of the Askenazi's for this magnificent collection, is just a living tribute to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the writer that 400 years a go, with a touch of his pen, created this Masterpiece of the World Literature.
